The Maison Orleans Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful old federal front row house built in 1902 is furnished with lovely family pieces from the 30s and 40s which give you the feeling of grandmother's house.
Nestled between the "Capitol South" and "Eastern Market" metro stations, the house is a block and a half south of Pennsylvania Avenue and just a few doors from the police station. Eastern Market, a produce and farmers market, is just around the corner.
The living room features a working fireplace and guests are invited to use the beautiful French Quarter Style patio and enjoy the fountains and fish pond, located directly off the living room, where a complimentary continental breakfast is available each morning. For those guests who need to stay connected to home or work while staying with us, we also offer complimentary "wireless" internet service throughout the house.
A furnished studio apartment and 1 bedroom apartment are also available.
The Raspberry Creole Room
Queen size antique four poster bed with several antique pieces acquired from several houses on Capitol Hill. There is a private bath in the room as well as a telephone and television. Room size 12 x 15
The Keller-Curtin Room
Queen size antique brass bed stamped and dated April 1915, purchased from a local antique dealer in Virginia. There is a small secretary piece which includes a nice desk top for those needing this area to work, and three lower drawers to accommodate guests' clothes. Telephone and television are included in the room. Private bath. Room size 12 x 13
The Anna Levesque Room
Kingsize bed and furniture belonging to the host grandmother & grandfather along with a television and telephone, there is a private hall bath just outside the room to the right. A small seating area is included in this room. Room size 10 x 21
Three guest rooms with private baths are available, along a furnished studio and one bedroom apartment available by the month. Off-street parking is available for guest rooms only.
Your host: Bill Rouchell , a native of New Orleans, moved to Washington early in 1988. He has become well-versed on Washington sites and is happy to advice guests of tourist attractions and recommend local restaurants, events and entertainment.

A furnished studio apartment is available by the month for $1750. One bedroom apartment $2200.00 per month.
Policies & Reservation Information:
- Smoking is not permitted in the house.
Deposits and final payments are accepted ONLY in the form of personal checks, travelers checks, money orders or cash. No credit cards.
A deposit of one half of the total charge is due within seven business days to hold a reservation. Reservations arriving within the seven day period are required to FED X the deposit to hold the room. Balance in full is due upon arrival.
Not affiliated with any agency - no booking fees.
Cancellation Policy: No refunds. In the event of an emergency I will issue a gift certificate in the amount you have sent good toward a future stay within one year. Unfortunately with just three rooms it has become difficult for me to hold rooms then at the last minute guest change their mind a cancel.
We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate children under the age of 16.
